Bailey Instruments is a UK-based supplier of precision surgical instruments and medical devices, serving both the NHS and international healthcare providers. With a focus on quality, compliance, and customer care, the business needed systems that could support complex processes and deliver clear visibility across stock, orders, and reporting, but their existing setup wasn’t delivering.
Before partnering with BlueHub, Bailey Instruments was managing operations across a mix of disconnected legacy systems, including Sage 50 and Link 50. These tools weren’t cloud-based and often held conflicting data, creating friction between departments. Reporting and forecasting were built manually in Excel, limiting insight and slowing decisions. Scanning was inefficient, landed costs weren’t tracked, and visibility of stock, especially backorders, was poor. Teams regularly had to cross-reference systems just to get basic answers.
BlueHub began with a full business process and system review to understand where the gaps were. From there, we led the implementation of Cin7 Core as the new central platform, alongside key integrations including Xero, Shopify, Amazon, PayPal, and Shiptheory. To ensure a smooth rollout, we delivered in-person training and user acceptance testing at Bailey’s Manchester headquarters.
Given their complex reporting needs, BlueHub also brought in EasyInsight, connecting it directly to Cin7 Core to provide powerful financial comparisons and custom reports.
Bailey Instruments went live with their new system in February 2025, just four months after the project began. Since then, they’ve seen a marked improvement in operational efficiency. Manual processes have been reduced, visibility across stock and orders has improved, and the business now has a robust platform to support future growth, without the limitations of disconnected legacy tools.
